Recently my mazda 6 03 (3.0 v6 sport)
Originally it kept dieing, after being warmed up it would die I replaced the EGR valve and fixed the random dieing now it runs and idles good but it has hesitation when I rapidly mash on the gas pedal it studders and settles down. But when I slowly increase rpm it works fine. Checked the MAF with a multimeter and it worked okay but I noticed immediately when I rapidly pressed the accelerator that it would jump from 1.4 to 11 when rapidly pressing the accelerator and have a gradual increase (normal) when I slowly increase the throttle. Problems only appear to happen when you 'mash the gas'
Should I replace the MAF or is this normal behavior to jump rapidly when I mash on the gas

Hey @Masocaso2113 Sorry I didn't see this thread earlier.

Here's the usual suspects:
  • Clean the MAF, whether it's acting properly or not it's a good thing to start with.
  • Check/replace your PCV Valve and host - it's like $10 and 10 minutes of your time.
  • Check your intake accordion tube for leaks/cracks.
  • Check your Throttle Body and clean if necessary.
  • Check your spark plugs, replace if necessary.
  • Check your coil packs though, depending on where they are (front/back) they're a pain to get to.
  • Depending on when they were last replaced, O2 sensors may need to be done.
Let us know how things look.

Checked ecm for codes code p0345 cam sensor circuit a bank 2, I got a new cam sensor and installed in bank 2 same error no change even with new sensor, does it need time to adjust? Or maybe the harness has a short or something can I run new wires on the outside of the car and to the sensor and back to the ecm and see if it fixes the issue?
