I'm just going to go ahead and post this in the newbie section. I'm sur eit's a newbie question. specially if the 2 itesm are not even related in any way lol..

First part. I was looking up crao to get a Tranny cooler. I cam across these 2 oil coolers.

Question A is. does anyone have the ARC oil cooler kit? and is it worth almost $500?

B. . Why is the ARC one almost $500 and the B&M one only like $50 . Are these 2 completely different types of items for completley different applications and am just confusing them thinking they are the same thing just different brands or what?

i really don't think you'll find the need for the ARK setup on your car. the system is for oil cooling rather than tranny cooling, and as such, comes with the bypass parts to hook it up to where your oil filter goes. and the damn thing is large, if it's close to the size pictured that is.

the B&M, just like many other inline coolers, don't come with anything besides the core and mounting hardware. no fancy -AN fittings, just nipples and clamps. i suggest the cheaper route unless you are planning on some serious punishment on the tranny.

i'm looking for something similar to the ARK setup for my oil right now, but will most likely go with a smaller unit with a fan and bypass, so it doesn't take up so much room.
