I have had the springs for weeks now and have gotten a lot of different quotes. I have heard as low as $200 to some quotes I got for $600. Anyone know if it is better to just buy a spring compressor and do it yourself?

Go to Auto Zone and rent the spring compressors. You have to pay for them at first but they when you return them you get all your money back.

Changing springs isn't rocket science, but it isn't the easiest thing in the world to do either. Make sure you check this out before you even consider it:

This doesn't really cover swapping the springs out on the front struts (which is what you will need the spring compressor for). If you don't think you can do it safely....just pay to have it done. They aren't worth a busted face (or car...or whatever else).

Good luck!
