I know for sure my cam tool is different than the sure MZR tool. I haven't compared pegs though.

Are Mazda 2.3 engines for Mazda 6 and Mazda 3 different ? I bought a JDM L3-VE engine from Japanese Engines | Used Japanese Engine | JDM Engines last week. I just received it. Do you think JDM engine is same as USDM ?

idk, when we got the "new" engine it was still full of oil. I haven't even drained it yet as I really didn't want to have to aim the drain plug on the crane.

If you look at the pics of the "new engine" you can clearly see the dip stick behind the fuel rail.

on the old engine it is outside of where the intake manifold should be and way away from the fuel rail.

I did same swap but the timing cover on mine was bad so what do I do have to find one in junk yard or can I just weld up the cover and drill out to make my sensor fit Ford has longer sensor and mine is the smaller one

Was it the crank pulley, cam or something else?
