Yes.I was reading cnn (http://www.cnn.com/2006/AUTOS/08/21/event_data_recorder_rule/index.html) and i was wondering if we have event data recorders in any of our Mazdas. Any one know?
Ooops.i did search, but not for black box...for EDR....
from what i can (vaguely sp?) recall it aslo records ur highest rpm and something about taking 50-100+ engine on/offs for this to get cleared again. and everything secs before an accident.I think it only records everything when a Cel is thrown, but I could be wrong.
Thats What I loved about my Dodge! No Black Box. Just about every other car on the market has them. And yes they show speeds, RPM before and accident so if you were going 120 and lost control not only is your car totalled, your life is over but everyone will know how fast you were going when it happened. Kinda sucks and takes our freedom away!My 1997 Nissan Sentra GXE had one so the 6 definitely should have it as well. Why would a 2003+ car not have an EDR if an older one does? I believe they're in most vehicles out there these days.
