I love the 1st Gen six because it's one of the few cars that covers all age groups. I'm 35 and have 2. We have people on the forum as young as 16 - 17 and I have seen granny sporting the 6. Gotta love it.

I gotta agree with you sir. I am 21, got my 6 when I was 20. And I know my dad(TSX driver) is a bit jealous of my car, and thats seeing that my car is almost the base model only upgrade being the spoiler and his is the second to highest model. I get better MPG too :D

The first gen had pretty good looks. I compared some other four-door models during it's time and the 6 had/has the sleekest look of all. I still get compliments for from my '06 after 10 years, lol! I'm sure other people here get them, too. The current gen 6 looks sexy, too. I'm so glad Mazda didn't slap the smiley face on it.

I'm 17, bought my first Mazda 6 Sport around two months ago, other than a few minor kinks, I love the car. I plan to buy a Mazdaspeed6 as my next vehicle.

The 6 is also my first car. It's great for a starter car or a midlife crisis car (talking bout the ms6 here). It's amazing how the first gen appeals to all age groups while the new one, in my opinion, only appeals to people that have started a family. The 6 is a blast to drive everyday and it's pretty cheap for what you get and what you compare it too. I see myself getting another 6 in the near future. :) 6 FTMFW!!

I really don't consider the 6 as an import. With Fords 53% ownership at the time and the fact that the car was built in Detroit, I consider it a Japanese Ford :)

i'm 26 with my first daughter on the way and the MS6 was the only car the wife and i could agree on. I wanted fun and sporty with a manual tranny, preffered 4 door...she wanted room, decent gas milage and a mandatory sunroof. we looked at EVO's, too expensive and they are boy racer. we looked at sti's, too small, and they are boy racer. the ms6 is now my new baby and love this car everytime i start the engine, you CAN'T drive it and NOT smile!!!

+1 on The Japanese Ford, that justified be buying it. Ford is what the majority of my family owns. I should also mention that my other car is an F-150 :D

Yeah, With Fords "Global plan" who knows what's going to happen. I just hope we get the Ford Falcon from Australia along with the other FPV (Ford Performance Vehicles, Aussie equivalent to SVT) cars from down under. Namely the Super Pursuit FTW!!!! 4.6 liter UTE. Made in Mehico will not go well for me. I am sad Ford considerably dropped share in Mazda. That's one of the reasons we have "Smiley face" Mazdas
