well here my ride sits now just after being washed... the snow was a nice touch by mother nature!

I figured since i need new tires for this spring, i'll splurge a little and buy some nice rims as well... but i don't know exactly what i want though. I don't want to pay a crapload of money for rims (1400 bucks) but i don't want them to look god-awful either. I was budgeting maybe around 800 for rims possible, but i can always up and down it as well.

Can anyone photosop some wheels on my ride that they may think will make it look good? I'm a 5-spoke wheel person...

okay... i have quick question about offsets/sizes....


I plan to lower my car down the road... but i'm going to stick with 17inch rims.


my question is... what size rim should i get to be safe ( i am illiterate when it comes to sizes)

things like 17 x 7, 17 x 7.5, 17 x 8.... is the second size how wide the wheel is? also, what offset am i looking for?

can you define "safe"? because usually when people say that in regards to wheels, they're wondering about rolling fenders, but i don't see that anywhere in your posts.

17x7.5 to me is the best overall. 17x8 is even better, but the likelihood of finding a good offset to work with (48mm for instance) is pretty slim.

i would check out the adr type 79 battle exe for a great 5 spoke look thats what i got comes in black silver or gun metal grey i got 17" gun metal on my 6 for $600

Nice choice and a few lbs lighter than stock I would imagine.

They are a super sick looking wheel and add a "chunkiness" that really makes the 6 look bad-ass. If memory serves, they are about the same as stock weight in 17" and a little heavier in 18". Not so much that you'd notice a difference. A really nice look. I have a silver wheel with a semi-pollished lip on my SG and it looks amazing IMHO. Please be sure to show us pics, and hey nice grille!
