No, I didn't sell it. :p. But no more of this

The 6 will ride in comfort and I will not have to sit in a wet seat.

See you at the track!

First test fit:

I really need to finish my rear suspension project so I can get the ass of this thing down. :p

I'll probably roll it back a foot to give me a bit more room in the front. First roadtrip is next weekend - if it doesn't snow.

Been doing a little planning for setting up the trailer as a proper race trailer:

The generator will slide out thru a door in the side of the trailer so it doesn't fill the trailer with fumes and noise. We start by removing the plywood in that area. New generator door is shown on the right.

Cut the lower portion of the stud off. Careful not to damage the aluminum skin:

Weld in the new door frame:

Test fit the door:

More to come . . .

That open trailer was still better than driving the car 100 miles to the track, which I did for about 10-15 yrs. The track tires would hydroplane at 40, and try to slide off the camber on the highway ... white knuckled while all other cars flashed by at 70. And on the track, conservative braking and 9/10 driving while reminding myself "must drive home".

As with all your work, I'm sure the trailer mods will be a 1st class project.

Finished up the door tonight. Cut the aluminum skin:

Apply butyl tape to the flange to seal against the aluminum skin:

Screw in place using white screws:
