So I'm looking at exhaust options and I'm really thinking about the turboback. I heard it's a lot to take on at once. Is it a really loud exhaust? I'm assuming the power gains are minimal?

Does anyone have pictures of how it looks once installed? I don't want two fart cans...

Any other comments? Thanks?

Stock DP is a huge restriction. Adding just the CPE DP will make a large, noticeable gain from what I've read. I'm still on the stock choke tube, but a catted DP is next. If you want something quieter, try the CPE catted DP, but get a Magnaflow CBE. From what I've heard, the Magnaflow is the quietest option to go with (any) catted DP.

I don't really care if it's decently loud, I just don't want the nieghbours to think I drive a diesel combine. No car alarms going off, not ricey sounding...etc.

i keep reading the drone with the dp and cbe is unbearable by most . especially long driving on the hwy
So what does that say about the full Turboback?

The turbo back probably isnt for you then. It might not be too loud with some mufflers on it. Mines loud as hell but I have no cat, no mufflers, and a DNP turbo mani to boot. I love it tho. It does drone like crazy, and I have set off a few car alarms (usually only inside parking garages tho), but I can tolerate it.

The power gains are definitely noticeable tho. I'd recommend a catted DP and dual exit with the mid pipe muffler and axelback mufflers. That might be more up your alley ;)

Well if the power gains are substantially more then the alternative then I may still be interested. Any videos?

I've been in several CP-E Singles and a magnaflow... I currently own a CP-E Dual and I must say it is the best from my experience.

As for "looks"... You don't really notice the mufflers as they are standard shaped ovals. I Removed my metal "fake" rings and extended the tips out a bit so I have the real tips showing. Unfortunately I will be replacing my rear plastic bumper thingies as they "melted" slightly from the hot exhaust. I have since fixed that problem but it is too late for the plastic!

from what ive heard the ghl ss catback with resonator is one of the nicest exhaust becasue it is almost 100% drone free. thats the way i will go with a cpe catted downpipe. the real men let external wastegates do the screaming, not just exhaust lol.

But I'm concerned about the power difference from a catback + Downpipe vs a full turbo back.

i have a atp catless downpipe with the stock exhaust and i think it's perfect, not to loud.

get the downpipe first, then if you want more power and don't mind more noise get the exhaust

you also get more bang for your buck with a downpipe over the exhaust

So I see that for the downpipe you can get to outlet sizes? 2.5 for stock exhaust and 3 for aftermarket?

What if I plan on getting a downpipe while I still have a stock exhaust and then want to get a catback down the line? Am i fucked? Do I have to wait till I can get both?

I have the ETS Cat-back exhaust and I think it sounds great. Yeah, there is a little drone, and yes, I've set off a few car alarms off in the parking lot, but I think it sounds appropriately aggressive and not ricey.

Here is a CorkSport Turboback exhaust system with a resonated racepipe, a downpipe, and their exhaust system, just so you can get a feel for the noise:

Full throttle:

I had the full system with single outlet on my car. Sounded GREAT! Not too loud and the highway drone is certainly tolerable.
