Ok, as a preface, I know some stuff about cars and originally I was going to follow the 6 tech walkthrough to a tee. However, I can be impulsive. So, anyway, I got a B&M 70274 cooler (not the one fromt eh artice) thinking, I live in Atlanta, more BTU capacity = better. All that being said, I already know that I may have screwed up.

To the point:

Apparently the 70274 has DIFFERENT connecters than the one in the article. They are female 1/2 NPT fittings. Needless to say, my 6s has no male 1/2 NPT fittings (that I know of).

Here some pics: I couldn't get them to post... *sigh*

OK, so my question is... can anyone help me figure out how to make it work, or should I try and return it?

Please help... :tear:

Usually I would say search, but I am toning it down...

Please e-mail me the pics and I will help you out, and if I cannot, then I will post the pics for others to help.

You have a PM

You can return it and exchange it for one of the coolers from the selection below:

70255 - SuperCooler rated at 9,800 BTU 11"x5-3/4"x3/4" 16000 GVW
70264 - SuperCooler rated at 14,400 BTU 11"x6"x1-1/2" 24000 GVW
70268 - SuperCooler rated at 13,000 BTU 11"x7-1/2"x3/4" 19000 GVW

I did...apparently no one on this forum has posted anything about installing a 70274 or 1/2 NPT fittings

Gaaah.... I know what I did.... when I was searching I typed 70274 instead of 70264

Since I can't slap myself...by all means, feel free

It's not a big deal, if you go to a hardware store they should have brass barbs that are NPT, though you'll probably save a few dollars by just getting the cooler with barbs.
