I have a 2016 Mazda6 with firmware level 51.00.300. I have looked at GENUINE Mazda CarPlay+AndroidAuto+WCP INSTALL... . In the NA N Current Firmware folder is a folder named NA N 74.00.230A Latest. In that folder is an .up to take the version to NA N 74.00.230A. However there are no intermediate updates yet the FIRMWARE ALERT-MUST READ.txt file says I must go to level 70.00.100A then 70.00.367A and no mention of 74.00.230A. Is this old doc? Can I just go from 51.00.300 to NA N 74.00.230A? Thank you.

No you must update the fail safe version to 70.00.100 before going any further in order to keep the system operating correctly. You don't have to do the 70.00.100 regular update but as long as the failsafe reads 70.00.100 you should be good. Otherwise you could end up bricking the whole cmu and there's no coming back from that normally.

dear all,

I'm writing because after I have installed the updated version from 31.00.XX to NA_70.00.100A the rear camera is not longer working. I have updated it because i have installed the carplay upgrade after installing the new USB box. This work fine!
I'm wondering if the reason why the camera is not working is that i have installed the North America version on a EU car?
I think I might update again the firmware to EU N_70.00.367A-UPDATE.UP in order to fix the problem but i can't find the file online, if you have this version or an newer or the same I have in EU version I would be so glad!
