im planning on installing a set of these rims on my speed6 for the winter, but am unsure about how the clear coat will hold up. they are cheap Boost rims by MB wheels in 18x7.5

anyone have any ideas??

Just keep them waxed and if you can't see the rear of the wheels very well then paint them for some added protection. I had stock aluminum wheels fail after 10 years on a different car but that was driving in buffalo for all 10 of them. Washing the salt off on a regular basis is key and protecting those portions you can't see/clean easily.

they should hold up fine if you keep a nice coat of was on it and wash the salt off when ever the salt goes on the road and try to do it asap, but if they are cheap wheels then im not sure because i have heard some stories about cheap wheels clearcoat peeling.
