We where thinking of getting the chrome pipes to the 6. But yesterday we got the price! Costed like... $170 for the two pieces of glittering metal. That was to much.

Anyone know any aftermarket pipes? The chief mechanic at the dealer had a blue metallic 2.3 sportwagon (very nice by the way). On that he had welded some cheap Biltema (the Nordic people know what I mean) pipes. From the side it was very visible that they where fake. There where like 4cm of normal pipe between the silencer and the chrome pipe... Looked crappy.

Don't reallt want to weld on the car...

What to do.. Chrome pipes look really nice...

Well I might add the problem - the problem is that the 6 have tailpipes with a bend on the... They are like banana-chaped, but with one V-bend instead of a (-bend. Anyway. The OEM chrome pipes houses the entire standard pipe and goes all the way into the silencer. Very "specialdeisgn" and hard to replicate without a ghetto look.

So far away from Åtvidaberg that it isn't a solution.
The price he had from Mazda was 150$ but when yoy buy a car for 20000$ you should get a lower price.

Yeah you would think so..

But we got a pretty good deal. Ordered both engine heater and trailer hitch, and payed less then the listprice of the car.

Blackbird: For cheap (and nice!) chrome pipes, go here:

http://www.biltema.se/

Go to "Bil", "Biltillbehör", "Styling" (you see one chrome pipe at that link). Then choose "exteriört".

Prices? From 7-10 US$ a piece.

Yeah I have seen those... But I am sceptic on how they will fit. Want the things to go all the way in to the silencer, but the bend on the pipe prevents from buying just a long chrome pipe, unles it has some awesome diameter (like 70mm) so the entire bend fits inside (like it is on the OEM pipes).

Sorry to say but I think cheap and tacky.
The original ones is the best because of the bend.
