Do you NEED a code reader?
I'm gonna assume yes, but I used to have an old Daytona that would just flash lights at you when you played with the key in the ignition, and then just look them up in a Haynes.

My light came on this morning at 873 KMs, and the Service Department was closed by the time I got off work.

Yeah, you need a code reader which is CAN compatible. I'm going to assume you are from Canada. I don't know if there are any places which can scan it for free for you. Since your car's new, take it to the dealer.

Yeah, what you are referring to are cars without the OBD-II connection.

Ya, old daytona was OBDI but I wasn't sure if the code reader was an OBDII thing, or a manufacturer specific thing.

I think Auto Zone will do it, but I'll just take it to the dealership since it's friggin new :s

Autozone's readers are not CAN compatible and will not be able to read the codes.
