Hi have a. 2014 Mazda 6 skyactive with 130000 on the clock.keep getting the vehicle system inspection required and the low oil pressure warning after a short and stays on but disappears when I restart the car. This doesn’t affect the car performance at all but am worried it might damage the engine .engine warning light also comes and goes the same way.
I have read about this problem a lot on the forum but haven’t seen a solution
My question is is there one?

I have the same issue with my Mazda 6 2.2 diesel. Went through a lot of mechanics, none find the issue. Im driving car with this problem for about a year now. Once i get the warning, go straight to change the oil and flush the engine, after 2000-3000 miles i usually get the low oil pressure warning again, and again change oil and flush the engine. I just give up of finding solution, so just keep changing oil.

You likely have a leaking injector that is seriously diluting your oil. This is a problem that can bite any common-rail diesel and you want to fix it; oil dilution and out-of-spec oil pressure is bad news.

My 2016 M6 2.2D with 100K has just had VSM warning read by Mazda and came back with codes P117A, P06DE, and P258B. For code P06DE I was informed that his is low oil pressure, upon inspection the Mazda tech informed me that this was caused by the injectors letting fuel into the oil and causing carbon build up which blocks the oil strainer in the sump causing low oil pressure. I have discovered on earlier cars like yours there is a safety recall (ref R/2018289) for the security of the injectors to prevent this from occurring. so please check to see if your car has been recalled as Mazda should/will pay for the rectification. Unfortunately my car is a couple of months outside the recall period so I have to pay, Mazda say I need a new engine at £11500 due to the damage this has caused.
