I have a 2016 Mazda 6. I don’t think it’s ever had an update. I saw this CarPlay kit on Amazon with some good reviews. What do y’all think of this? Would installation be as easy as following a YouTube video? Do I have to do some kind of update before?

Yes, you will need the dealer to perform an update first. The installation is not difficult.


Double check with the seller this fits the "6" as it is not listed as fitting/working.

I bought the kit and did the upgrade myself, it's not hard but detailed. You should create an account on the mazda 3 forums for very detailed instructions.
