Recently bought 2004 Mazda 6 Sport Wagon with 2 litre diesel engine (pre-DPF). It's been very good for a couple days of ownership. Just a question - is EGR a big problem on this engine?
There's quite a bit of soot around EGR valve, might as well take it out and clean it. Anything to be aware of?
Fuel ecomony is good, getting 7L/100km when driving on mixed roads. My foot isn't particularly light either.
It's just there's rev hunting when engine is cold, that's about it.
