You have to see if your insurance covers "intentional" property damage.
You need to have the insurance co write a estimate on the repair of the scratch, depending on you're dedcutable then you must make a desicion of going with them (if they let you because some Ins Co if you're damages are under deduc they wont repair the car) or you go on your own and get it fix.anyway.. i was in a store last night.. came outside and theres a foot long key mark on my front left fender.. down to the metal for about 6 inches.. i doubt compound will get it out.. so my ? is if insurance will cover it..and i just pay the deductable?? i have full coverage with new jersey manufacturer .. i really dont want tpo pay for a whole new fender for no reason.. but theres no way that scratch is staying there

I'm a Auto claims Adjuster for a major Insurance Co and if you provide me with a picture of the whole fender I can probably give you an estimate on how much it would cost you.

Sorry to hear about the damage to your car but why don't you just call your insurance company and ask them if they cover it? I'm sure they have a toll-free number. I'm sure you'll get a lot more useful and accurate information than asking a bunch of random people on a message board to take their best guess.

Are you just trying to increase your post count, ninecoronas? I think it's already well established that touch-up paint won't help his problem.yeah...that sucks. I doubt touch up paint will take that out.
