I have been searching, but haven't found an answer to this, sorry if I have just missed it. I have a 2018 6 signature with the stock 19x7.5 rims. With the 225/45 19 OEM tires on it right now that need to be replaced. I have been researching going to a wider tire and trying to decide if it is safe. I have found a couple of websites that say a 235/40 and a 245/45 will work on the rims, and others that say you shouldn't go wider that the stock 225/45's. Is anyone running a wider tire on this rim and how does it work?
Thanks for your help

I'd say you can probably go to 235 but 245 is going to make the rubber poke out from the rim a noticeable amount. 245 is usually reserved for a 8 or 8.5" rim. Use the tire-size calc in my signature to get a nice visual of what it would look like.

That should be a 19x8?
For what, stock size? Nah the 19s are 7.5 unless the Signature edition has wider ones that I'm unaware of.

Thanks for the information and tire size calculator. From the calculator it looks like the 235/45 would be the best size to go with.

Maybe im thinking the CX-9 that has 18x8. Or i read it somewhere and its wrong.
You're half right.

CX-9 has 18x8 or 20x8.5
The 6 has 19x7.5

And I've seen both 235/45 and 245/40 on OEM rims, with no issue. I wouldn't go larger than that.
