My front brakes, when first applied (cold), 'snap'!
The pads sound like they are not flush against the rotor or the caliper piston isn't seated and when the brakes are applied....crack! Sometimes it's quite loud othertimes just noticable. I can recreate it by reversing and braking gently then pulling forward and braking again (carpark manouvers).
Once the brakes are 'warmed up' there's no noise at all.
The dealership were unable to source or reproduce the sound. (A bit like dentists and toothache, once you get there your toothaches gone!)
Brake function is unaffected, it'll stop quick enough to make your brain run out your nose.
Any ideas?
