I have a 3.0 6s and was wondering if adding the Injen CAI would increase the sound of the engine. i have done the airbox mod and also have taken out the resonator. if anyone has this intake in their 6 and could let me know about the sound or give me a thread where i can get that info that would be great. thanks.

I found that the sound with the AirBox mod to be a little deeper and more throaty than with the Injen CAI. I definatly enjoy the sound of the Injen CAI when accelarating, but IMO the AirBox mod sounded just a bit better due to the deeper sound, but the Injen is prolly louder.

If you get the Injen make sure to contact CP-E for the MAFci fix
for sound it goes from best to not best
the best sound will definately be produced by airbox mod but bot injen and cpe sound pretty good. Injen almost sounds like stock though. only a slight difference..

I agree that the Airbox mod sounds the best. But IMO my Injen CAI is way louder and better sounding than when stock, it is def alot more noticable up around 4k RPMS where it really starts to help and kick in. Up around those High RPMS I think my Injen CAI is actually louder than what the airbox mod was as well, but still not a better sound.

How much did you have to pay for the MAFci fix for the Injen CAI? was it worth going that route or do you think that i should just get the CP-e MAFci CAI?

depends on how much money you are willing to dish out...

If you are going to go brand new i would go CP-E CAI MAFci way. They are awsome with working with you and will help you out with just about anything. IMO worth extra 50 bucks or so.

I found an Injen CAI w/MAFci fix on this forum for $290 picked up. So to me I could not jusitfy an extra 250 bucks for just a couple HP increase. However if there was a CPE CAI MAFci system used for like 325-350 I would have prolly went that route.

Either way at most spending $540 is by far the cheapest mod for your $$/HP increase.
ya...I had my CP-E for about a month now.....I LOVE the SOUND! ....Soooo Agressive!!
