Has anyone done a motor mount how to?

I believe that i have some broken motor mounts. The motor seems to have more play front to back then it does side to side. So im thinking that its most likely the front passenger side one or the dogbog.

Has anyone had any issues with the dogbone one breaking on them?

Anyone know of a place to get good mounts for not a too insane price?

My OEM lower mount shredded on me from racing it at the track. I now have an AWR mount and HIGHLY recommend AWR (the best service and parts).

most likely the movement is from the lower dog bone trans mount. they always fail. dont even bother replacing it with a stock replacement, cause it will just break also.

and you really dont need any directions on how to install them. there all very straight forward. usually only involving a few bolts to install.

so far i have a AWR lower dog bone mount, and a AWR drivers side trans mount. there some some added vibration. but it isnt too bad.

are they the thicker racing ones? or the recommended street replacement

monoxide, would the 70 duro dog bone mount wear out just as fast as an oem one? Or are the awr's just better quality overall?

The AWR mounts are made with urethane not rubber. So they will be harder and much more durable. But a the cost of comfort and vibration.

hey darkryder, i found a post that you may find helpful? Like everyone has said, it's only a few bolts, but this thread did mention jacking the transmission.

thanks man, thats a good walkthrough of it. Wish there was one as well for the transmission and the front passenger mount. If i'm doing one, most likely i'll just do all three and say hell with it. lol

AWR does sell all 3 mounts. And the install is pretty much the same. Just a jack, a wood block ,and a few wrenches is all thats really needed.
