Hi

Was Changing from one cd to another, when the Unit said "Check CD".
It is now frozen. Will not eject, play or load. Radio is fine.

I'm 10 days out of my 3 yr warrenty!..... . . 60000 mile on clock.

I've pressed all the buttons - nothing will get the cd out.
I cannot see a stuck CD - so nothing to grab with pliers / tweezers.

There is a homemade CD in the changed, but it has no label on it - so I do not see how this can effect things - and I've used CDs such as these for 3 yrs without issue. So annoying this happened today, and not 10 days ago!!!!

Any advise???? What are my chances of getting Mazda to pay for a replacement - I understand this is a common problem??? If not, how much is this likely to cost to me??? If they won't pay, am I better going to a Audio specialist to sort it???

Thx

Jason

Every case is different. Try your dealership, they may feel sorry for you and trouble shoot the problem. I personally would go to any audio store and just ask questions. They won't charge you and may be curious enough to take a look at it.

My cd changer was stuck too and I am waitting for the replacement...

Only one thing you can do is to disconnect the battery for 3 mins and reconnect it. It will reset the cd changer and sometimes it will fix your problem...

Good luck!

I'm another unlucky Mazda6 owner with the stuck CD changer. :irate:

I guess this is a pretty common problem?

EDIT: I just realized I have a 50,000 mile warranty. I have 51,150 on the car. :swearin:
