Sooo.... I have a serious boost leak, and I finally got around to getting a couple of logs. There are 3 logs in separate sheets of the excel file attached.

I found a friend who has a garage I can use for a day to pressure test for leaks, and put in my wheelwell liners.

Anyways, I'd appreciate any input, and when I mentioned this months ago, a couple people asked for some logs, so here they are.

Thanks Guys-

D

Your boost seems to hit ~16 PSI around 4400 RPM. Then it gradually drops as the engine continues to rev up. Oh, you forgot to log Throttle Pos., so we don't really know what the throttle is doing while you're flooring the pedal. I would start with a leak test (like you plan to do) and go from there. It's hard for me to tell what's going on based on those logs. Hopefully more people will look at them and give their 2 cents. Good luck!

Thanks fellas. Yeah, I'll due the pressure test later in the week and see what's up. I just hope it's not at the intake mani. It could be at the exhaust mani (last thing installed), but that's not a huge deal because my DP still needs to be installed (argghh).

Damn leaks! It was fine after the install, and the car screwed. Then the leak came... it could be from the contraption coming off my hot pipe (ebcs FS). It's hovering over the exhaust mani with no heat sheilds and the "ceramic coating" is garbage.

^I should really have the hot pipe re-tapped on the opposite side regardless. The hose gets hot as hell without the heat shields there... that hose may be cracked, etc...

I don't see anything wrong in that log. If you had a significant boost leak the WGDC would be abnormally high while trying to get the Load up to target. I say your Load targets are met and the ECU is happy. Remember that with Load tuning, the boost "is what it is" to meet the Load....

The afr's look a little jumpy. What is your boost target?

True, this helped me w/WGD. It you're not at 100% the turbo isn't maxed trying to hit the load.

Look again at 4th, where it is more pronounced. Boost and thus load nose dive to 165 @ 13 PSI, lol. I can easily tell with the butt dyno that the car is slow as shit. I know what you're saying, but there is def a leak. As soon as I get ATR, I'll post my current load targets for 4th.

My wgdc actually wouldn't be that high because of my map. I have my wgdc table set quite conservative so that it will pull a lot of wgdc in case of overboost, but I do not let it increase wgdc much at all in cases of underboost (less than stock/ots BD vaules iirc).

maybe where you have it tapped is bad to and has a small leak?
I highly doubt that.... the welder I see does amazing work. If anything, I think the hose attached to the hot pipe or the "T" could have a leak from the hot/cold exposure there.

I'd start w/the last thing you installed since it was fine prior.
yeah, the car was actually fine for about a month after the install. Then when the cold came, I had this problem. However, it seemed to be somewhat intermittent.

I think my afr's are jumpy because of the leak. Like Joe said, I'm not boost targeting... l'm load targeting.
