I have the prosport one too and I've been happy with it since 2008. The only thing I don't like is the ricey start-up and shut-down sequence the gauge likes to do by moving the needle back and forth and blinking blue lights. Other than that, it's a great gauge for the price. However, if I have to replace it one day I will probably go with a mechanical Autometer, since it's less likely to malfunction due to the lack of an electronic sending unit or electric motor to move the needle.

I snagged a STRi DSD 60mm amber/smoked boost gauge and a blockhead vent pod... No complaints about the guage at all, really high quality gauge. I love that its blacked out to match the stock gauges, and it matches pretty closely to the stock gauge color too.

As for your install, just be prepared to swear a lot if you try to run the wire to the sensor the same way I did. Thats simply the worst part about any guage install in any car, but this car definately sucked pretty bad. I was honestly contemplaing drilling my own hole with its own gromet in the firewall. All of the wires you need are right there under the drivers side dash - theres a write up on one of the forums that gives a good spot to tap into for the ground, switched power and lights.

Thread Revival!! Why write a new one when I can just hijack this one? I'm about to install this same setup (52mm instead) Anyone have any links for DIY installs? MY biggest concern is the best place to route the senders wiring harness and what fuses to tap. (constant and illumination)

Post script: I have been searching and reading threads all morning, found much more for MS3 then I have the 6.

Which gauge are you using?

Funny you should chime in Ben, I just found your old thread. I'm installing a 52MM STRi boost gauge.

I revived this because I spent most of my morning on MSF with not a lot of luck, Found a lot since. Saved them all in a subscribe folder. I think I'm going to link them all on one thread and have it inserted on the Newbie thread sticky so this never happen again. Especially for installing gauges with your gorgeous vent pods.
