Has anyone ever looked behind the LCD? If there is a dimmer button, does it not follow that the lcd is probably backlit with a bulb/LED that can be dimmed?

ITS a photoshop using the hue setting, you can tell by the LCD save the pic, open in photoshop blow it up and you can tell the pixels been modified by a filter.

You can probably swap in the blue LCD from the MazdaSpeed6. Most small LCDs like that are sealed units and cannot be changed from one color to another without swapping out the entire LCD board for the appropriate one.

As for the dimmer switch, probably just a voltage switch, nothing more.

As for everything but the LCD, they are all small little bulbs, for the dash cluster ones, check my post on 6Tech.

:sarc: Yeah, yeah pick on the faulty memory of the guy who is sick.. lol.

Anyway.. just did some quick research. Graphic module LCDs use an LED backlight (Sometimes...). Simple soldering job for someone good with soldering and LEDs.
