Yea, dont bump old threads AND make your own.Guys I’m really sorry to post on an old thread here.. but I just got corksport springs for my 2016 6, and I have no clue which struts/shocks to go with.. i think my best options are bilstein b8’s, koni sports or corksports set! Does anyone have experience with corksport lowering springs and a good set of struts/shocks?
Regardless of how you do it, if you dont have to fight the studs in the rear, pull them out and use grade 8 bolts instead.bumping this thread in case any other pre-130513 chassis owners (build date before 05/13) are looking at Koni shocks. After a bit of back-and-forth with a Koni rep I got information that the 8048-1423SPORT rear shocks come with an optional sleeve that adapts the shock bushing to either the bolt configuration (20mm) or to the stud configuration (14mm). as detailed in other peoples' comments the Bilsteins only have a 20mm bushing option for their B4 (maybe you could ask for custom valving rebuild instructions to increase rebound). but for my purposes I need more rear rebound so I think the Konis are the way to go for me.
