I helped a friend replace the plugs on his Mazda 6 tonight, and now it wont run. It is a first gen, I don't know what year, V6, Auto with an AEM CAI.
He read the write up posted on this site as a guide before he started. He is mechanically inclined as am I. The only variation from the write up is that the three 8mm bolts on the EGR would not come off, so we took out the two 10mm bolts and pulled the EGR from the bracket. Everything was put back together correctly. AFAIK
The car barely runs. The engine comes close to dying, then revs, then repeats. It almost sounds like it's sucking air, but I can't see where. There is an odd "taping" at the TB and EGR. When the car is turned off, the EGR makes as rapid click, then it stops. I need help with this. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
