the way the AL works is like this: the first 99 songs are grouped together and those become CD1, add more songs, next 99 become CD2. you can still shuffle, advance tracks, etc.

i'd double check the mini stereo cable. it sounds like it might not have a good contact. i've been using the AL-USB with my 06 ms6 & XM helix for some time without problems. i used to have a cheapo XM roady and the sound was a little shitty. i attibuted it to the unit. now with the helix, no problems.

I too have the audiolink for IPod with the 1/8 jack...I get a little noise from time to time but I only notice it when I listen to talk radio (espn, comedy, ect) but music is not noticable. I too was wondering if I need to add a ground loop insulator....any thoughts? I have a Skyfi2.
