I'm tired of my car looking like a crossover. I didn't get to the RPM street springs fast enough and now they are sold out. I am looking for springs that will give my car a drop similar to RPM springs seen below (1.1 in. front, .75 in. rear).

I don't want coilovers cause i'm cheap. I'm willing to go up to about 1.4 in. drop in the front and 1 in in the rear. I would like the front dropped a little more than the rear mainly because I always have people/stuff back there and 235 tires. I don't want the ride to get too much stiffer either.

You said it all yourself in quote. Pay to play or go home. You can always use a hack saw or torch to get the "look" you want...

I'm in the boat err... crossover and I haven't found anything equivalent to the RPM Street springs. Since performance is more important to me than the looks of a dropped suspension I've decided to go with the RPM Sport springs. It took me a good 4 months to get comfortable with this 'compromise'.

To me the H&R and Eibach springs are too low and don't improve the suspension. The coilovers, such as BC Racing were more than I wanted and would be a hassle to maintain due to the winters.

Good luck with your search and your final decision. I know it won't be easy.

I'm looking for similar springs too. We should petition RPM. The current trend is slamming cars but that looks so tacky to me. I'm thinking about H&Rs but the rear is just a little bit lower than I would have liked. If I find an H&R pic i'll post it for you.

Here are a bunch of pictures of H&Rs. Sorry for stealing everybody's pictures. Everybody's looking good though. The rear end is lower than I like but it doesn't look slammed. Driving with a lot of people/stuff though seems like it might cause issues. I don't know though.

It's not bad I guess. The rear does look low but I checked and these springs have the closest specs to RPM street springs. 1.4 inch in front and 1.3 in rear. I wonder if the guys with these rub in the rear.

If you're cheap you can get BCs for next to nothing.
Yeah, they're not the best. Probably don't match H&Rs in quality. But, they are very adjustable. You can pretty much achieve a factory height or even the slammed look.
Dampening adjustment is a bit cheesy, but it makes a very noticeable difference in ride comfort.
You get what you pay for. Not top notch, but certainly passable for a set of COs.
And I'm not talking about the $1k you see everywhere. No, they can be had for much less if you work a deal.

Maybe "bottoming out" is a better choice of words than rubbing. That's what I meant.
I knew what you meant

Good tip. I'll look around. It really is a shame that no one offered something similar to RPM springs though cause those were ideal for me.

By the way I wonder if H&R's are progressive or linear.

I know that Tanabe GF210 are giving similar look to RPM`s and they have almost the same spring rate as the OEM ones. Thats what I got but ain't installed them yet. If you search on google you can find pics of msp6 with GF210 installed.

I remember when I was shopping for my springs something about the RPM street springs being the same ones that were sold for the Ford Fusion AWD, since the two cars were similar in weight, as well as other dimensions. It seems like there is still a good demand for the street springs, I'm surprised that RPM doesn't make more of them. That said, I'm glad I got mine when I did. :)

I got them for under $700 back in the Bing cashback days...

H&Rs rode like crap IMO. thats why ended up with BCs. the SU guys were testing them and everyone ended up running the BCs.

Sounds like what happened to me a few years ago.
Called Cullen for a set of Koni Yellows. Already had a set of Street springs in my hands. Needless to say I was convinced otherwise and ended up with a set of CO's.

Yeah, Aviator. You stole yours. I don't know where. If you do some searching here there's folks who have claimed $800-$900 with AND without that cash back thing you guys scored on.
Hell, I gave Cullen $900 for mine and he threw in a free set of AWR endlinks three years ago.
