I heard about the i6 and rwd but Toyota and Lexus using it. First time I heard it. I'm excited tho it basically confirms the I6 rwd so I'm pumped. I already know what car I'm getting next.

Hey Garrett, I'm pumped too! Although I just leased my current 6, when the lease is up in 3 years the I6/RWD/AWD should be in the showrooms. Just hope Mazda doesn't muck up the styling and slap a gaudy looking grill on it, like everyone else seems to be doing. BTW, I'm straight north of you in the Bratwurst Capitol of America.

Interesting info, but the earliest development date is model year 2021. Based on the fact that Mazda never seems to make their projected release dates, I wouldn’t expect it before 2023 or later.

My firsts were an oversquare inline 6 in my landcruiser and undersquare L6 in my 240z. I have to say that wherther I am peaking torque at 1800RPM or effortlessly revving beyond 7000 the L6 is marvelous. I would love to see it back.
Oh and this is really pretty too.
