Just wondering if anyone removed their Black Door Guards and have them lying around collecting dust. I'm experimenting with a possible mod. If you're willing to part with them let me know.

I've got a speed yellow 6 and I got a set off a member at the Mid-Ohio meet and found that when the black ones are on my car looks a bee. :laugh:

I'm thinking of putting some black door guards on my silver 6. I've got black rims w/polished lip and black taillights and thought the door guards might continue the theme so to speak.

I've seen posts on how people took them off their cars, but how did you attach the black ones on?

3m double-sided tape. But it didn't work real well. hmm poster putty?

O.K. lil' bro' why dont you ask your big bro' if you can use the steel grey door guards that are sitting in his garage?

You can paint them black or just put them on your car temporarily to see if you like the look. I don't think he plans on using them again... or does he?

BTW 3M double sided foam adhesive tape is the only way to go. Make sure it is warm when applied and put a decent amount of pressure on it and it will stay on for sure. The tape needs pressure applied to it for it to set. I wouldn't trust anything else.

I'll be around all weekend... So when are you going to install the gauges? What did you get?

I partook in the Prosport Gauges Group Buy and got the Amber/white Series gauges. Red on, blacked out when off. Got the Lotek pod and a Voltmeter, A/F, and Oil Pressure. ($107 shipped) It's a good deal and others seem to be happy with their gauges.

Not sure when I'm going to install them. Might need some help, if you're available. :drive:
