Anybody here has experience with AutoEXE axel back Mufflers on their Speed 6?

I just put on CS 3" TB exhaust but alas this is not for me!! I dont have the money to take out the down pipe for the moment, as I was thinking of taking out the CS down pipe & replacing it with ATP catted one.

My stock exhaust got thrown out by the body shop and I am looking for the following options:
1. Buy new or used stock mufflers
2. Buy AutoExe mufflers
3. Buy magnaflow mufflers

My CS CB section will soon be up for sale, will have to follow the proper FS procedures. I am willing to exchange with somebody who has stock mufflers plus some money for my CS.

I will be going with 3" to 2" piping or whatever, I am not looking for max performance but absolutely or almost stock level sound. 3" is not for me, it was a completely not what I was expecting!!

Is the AutoExe louder than stock or is the magnaflow louder than the autoexe? Anybody with the stock who want to sell or trade please PM me?

Thanks & I really need to get this done quickly.

you do know you're paying about $1k for basically just mufflers, right?
At this point I am looking for a quite ride & I dont care anymore. Should have done some more research before getting a 3" setup & clearly its not for me!

So nobody with a AutoExe muffler. I am trying to figure out which is closest to stock AutoExe or Magna Flow.

Stock Mufflers from dealer in Canada, you basically get shafted with the price, like everything else in Canada vs US pricing!

Damn I feel for you dude, just try to get a junked muffler or something. Paying 1k's for just muffler is the same as getting shafted by the dealer...

agreed, get them at a junkyard, order off someone on forums, post up a request for stock parts. tons of people willing to sell their stock mufflers.

I would do mine, if i had something to replace them with.

I would love the autoexe mufflers with a custom catback but it would end up costing $1500+!!

I have the stock mufflers (in good shape) and I'm thinking about selling them. I'm in Waterloo... Send me a PM if you're interested. I'll be out of the country until mid January though.

Wow, wish you would have posted this like 4 days earlier. I just brought my entire stock exhaust to the metal scrap yard and got an amazing $58 for it. Thats including the $25 each for the 2 cats. LOL. I just couldnt have it in my garage anymore.

Thanks I managed to swap out my exhaust with (marlon), a forum member.
Curious where do you live?

The swap went really well, great guy & he was very close to where I lived. I am really happy, though I will still look into a possibility of future change with a 2.5" or 2 1/4" stainless setup. The snarl & the turbo spool up noise is mostly from the front & under the car due to the DP & Racepipe, the back is as quite as the originals always are. I would still likely look into a option likely like Auto Exe, but no one has 1, as I wanted to know how much louder it is than a Magnaflow!

Marlon I hope your wife does not throw you out with the added noise:)

Thanks for all the help!!!

well she was not happy, i removed the oem tips but the exhaust is still hitting the unibody frame as others have experienced. tomorrow i will bend it with a hammer.

Anyone know if the oem mufflers will bolt up to the corksport y midpipe?

I bent the sheet metal back with a hammer, then coated it with rust check coat and protect. It doesn't rub anymore but its still really loud.
I might order 2 Patriot Muffler Inserts H3844, and stuff them in the mufflers.lol

Hey man what did you have to bend, I thought the tips only touch those metal inserts in the bumper, did you have to bend some part of the unibody car frame? The best way to align is to bend the hangers on the mufflers with a ring range. I am curious as to what body part/panel of the car you had to hammer in, as It was not touching anything in my car, except probably the tips?

I dont think the flange of the stock muffler fits the CS Y midpipe the flange sizes are different but I could be wrong, as the stock midpipe bolted strait to the CS resonator, when we did the swap.

I talked to CS & told them it was very loud, they said that some people have welded in a magnaflow muffler not resonator after the down pipe, but I am not sure what part number is that muffler neither did the guy at CS know.

Let me know if I can be of any help?!
