The article mentions something that I've found a lot of European reviews have mentioned as a downside to the Mazda6: road noise. From your experience, would you say that this is a noticeable problem? I don't know how European cars differ in this category from American cars, but I wouldn't want road noise in my car to be intrusive...

I'm wondering if maybe the road noise is related to the tires that they have on the car when they do the test, ie: the stock tires?

Anyone know what type it comes with?

I would not say that road noise was intrusive. In fact, it was much less than in my present 626. Not a problem.

I'm thinking that this depends more on the road's surface and on tyres.

Does any one know when Car and Driver will be doing their road test of the mazda 6...the one that will be in the Car and Driver magazine????
