Hey I've had my M6 for a year now. I bought it used with 60,000 miles on it. I have 80,0000 miles on it now. I was wondering if anyone else had rough shift from 1st gear to second gear. BTW my car is a 2005 2.3L ATX.

Welcome. I've got an 05 2.3L as well. I know what you're talking about with the rough shift from first to second. Except I don't know if I would really call it rough. When the car has been sitting overnight, I notice a bit of what I would call lag shifting from first to second whether in manual or automatic. It just seems to take a moment or two longer to decide to actually shift from first to second when in automatic (at least, a moment or two later than it would normally shift on a warmed up car), and it takes a moment or two longer to shift from first to second after shifting in manual mode. I've never had any problems come from it, and I've had my car serviced multiple times and they've always checked the trans fluid.

Well its rough for me. It almost gives me whiplash. It revs to 2.5k then slams down into 2nd gear with a jerk that flings me back into my seat

Does it happen all the time or just when you haven't driven the car for a while or what?

Every time I'm in 1st shifting to 2nd in the 2.5k to 4k rev range anything above that and it doesn't shift hard

Look into getting a trans cooler for your car. Even though it might not be related to the issue, it'll help with transmission issues in the future... Especially with the ATX's.
