Hi, I'm new to the forum, but I've already gotten a lot of good info here.
I just added an aux port to my 2006 6 Sport Wagon. I bought the MAZASX module from Peripheral Electronics. IT plugs right in to the CD changer port of the factory head unit, then there's one wire to connect to ground to activate the aux2 port on the unit. connect an stereo RCA to 1/8" cable and you're done.
I mounted the unit behind the glove box, and ran the 1/8" plug insude the upper compartment above the radio display. Sit the MP3 player in, plug in and go. Press CD twice on the radio, and the display says "EX".
Here's the link, just scroll down to Mazda: http://peripheralelectronics.com/web/aux_in.asp
