I just got android auto installed at my local Mazda dealer. I can connect to android auto but when I go to mirror link it reboots android auto and won't let me actually mirror link my android 10 phone, (note 10+). I have a 2016 mazda 6 grand touring.

Mirrorlink isn't supported by Mazda. Just Carplay or Android Auto.

Used to be able to do it by hacking the infotainment and running an app on your phone. But newer firmwares, which yours would now certainly have, now blocks what was the easy route to hack the system.

For more info start reading up on "AIO tweaks"

Basically, without risking your system's stability - either now or down the road with future updates - you're better off learning to live with Android or Apple's applications.

That's unfortunate. I don't want to do anything that will mess up anything now or in the future. I guess I will wait and hope something comes along that will allow mirror link type things. I really wish they made an after market fit for the infotainment screen. After market radios are so much better.
