I saw this post on DriveAccord. I don’t have an Android phone but thought someone else might find this helpful. Not sure if this is even an issue with the 6.

This is an absolute must for any Android users. when I first plugged in my phone I was disappointed by how blurry/low resolutiom the output was. This is how to send HD

1. Disconnect your phone from the head unit
2. Open Android auto on your phone
3. Tap the menu on the top left
4. Tap about
5. Tap on the title (about Android auto) 10 times until the developer menu unlocks
6. Tap the menu on the top right
7. Tap developer options
8. Scroll down and enable 1080p/720p video output (apparently the head unit is only 720p so 720p should suffice)

Now plug your phone back into the head unit and see the beautiful HD display

Nice! Thank you...

I'm not sure if it will make much of a difference on the Mazda HU, but I know that the map resolution on Waze can get a little blurry sometimes. I'll report back after I try the new settings on the 6.
