Just wondering who here is using either of these fluids and why. Found a lot of god and bad on the redline, but not much info on amsoil. Seems like most of the racers and performance guys like it. I run all Amsoil in my truck so I'm leaning that way, any reason not to? 6 is my wife's car, all stock, 57k mi, this will be first trans fluid change.

Thanks

I only asked for Amsoil and Redline because those were the two I was interested in. Owners are usually very brand loyal with their oils and I wanted a few informed opinions, not just what everyone is using. If you use something else, and it works for you, great. After researching elsewhere, I ended up buying the Amsoil MTG and 0w-20 motor oil. Now I just need the time to change the oil...

ive been running the amsoil
for the last few years. been really happy with it. i run amsoil in all my turbo cars also. there ATF fluid is insane for the older mazda MTX's that took atf. great stuff. i do run schaeffer's oil in the 6 though. its a bit cheaper, and the 6 is just a daily. so even that is probably overkill for it. lol

Finally got the time to change out the old fluid. It wasn't nearly as bad as I initially thought it would be. The fluid that drained out was not that dark and didn't smell burnt at all. After driving for a few miles there really is a noticeable difference in shift quality and seat of the pants feel is mucho improvement! Great thread in the how to section allowed me to do the change very efficiently. Thanks for the help.
