All,

See attached picture (firewall - condenser output). I'm convinced that this is supposed to have a hose connected to it. Does any other '03 have a hose - or is the design to leave this open?

I have the same A/C 'funk' after the humidity increases each summer - I suspect that the condenser is not draining correctly because of a missing hose.

Thanks for your responses!

-Regards,
Martin

No there's no hose that attaches there. That opening is indeed the condensor drain though. Try cleaning it out with pipe cleaners or Q-tips, etc. You can also spray household disenfectant into the recirc inlet duct under the dash with the ac on and kill the bacteria that grows on the wet condensor and in the ducts. Note that even when the drain works properly you will still get a buildup of microbs growing on the condensor, expecially in humid locations.
