Hello All!
So i have an 05 M6 I 2.3L hatch and yesterday received news that i am going to need a new catalytic converter. I purchased the car used and upon purchase was told it would need an Bank 1 O2 sensor. However, the check engine light for this replacement would turn off on its own so i was never in a rush to get it fixed. After finally getting it fixed, the engine light came back on to a P0421 code.

I would prefer to purchase parts on my own then take it to a shop so i need recommendations on a preferred part to buy and if its easier to get a "direct fit" part or a "universal" part.

Its catalytic converter week!
I would buy a direct fit.
You will need to know if the car has California emissions or not. It is the difference between a manifold converter or downstream converter.
Check it out here.
