So that's it when my all weathers come in I'm going to add some sort of pad/buffer for me heel as I'm eating a hole right through the stock mat. Not eve 4K miles and the damage is bad looking.

Now the options here are surprisingly far between. And I know I can do diamond plate and look like a 16yr ricer at the same time. UMM NO

I have found two other options:

OR

I dont want to rice the car by any means but I want to correct this issue I have with the mat. Which would you go with? The black for the barely there look or the matching metal to match the pedals? I dont want to seem like a ricer because I despise that junk but the hole in the mat I'm forming is making me desperate.

Go with black, the metal color will stand out like a sore thumb....How are those anchored?

i almost wore a hole in mine after about 500 miles. Picked up some rubber mats to save the OEM from abuse this winter.

Good idea.

Where did you find those, and what sort of cost. Mine is wearing through as well - I expected it with my size 13 shoe and the fact that I don't lift between the gas and the brake.

Can you tell me where you found the black one? It's just what I've been looking for as I have grey floor mats. Please let me know if you can.

Thanks

The black one is found at:
http://www.amazon.com/Black-Automobile-LED...mp;s=automotive

Yes unfortunately it is a lightup, but I'll be stripping it off the light up ability ASAP. I ordered mine, it's so cheap why not try it..

The all weather mats only come in black. I have the grey interior as well and you'll want the black when there's water and mud anyway.

Also, on the heel guard, here's a link to 6 other colors. I wonder what the hell it's made of, plastic or metal.

DMZadony:
Where did you find the silver one and what is it made of? Is it metal or plastic?

Thanks

Humm.. My speed6 came with both... + all the other rip-off accessories they can overcharge for... included in overpriced speed6...

ANYWAY... I had my all-weather ones that say "Mazda6" on them in for a bit... but don't really have a reason to use those... I've been using the stock Speed6 matts for a while now... and don't notice any wear and tear on them after 16,000 miles... I don't get much water inside the car... i'm pretty careful to shake my feet off before steping in... But.... Still don't see how you can wear those things out so quickly...

Hell someone complained about their key FOB for the GT keyless setup wearing out... mine looks brand new almost after 16000... sits in the pocket.. never touch it... well once every other day to unlock doors.... but still looks new...

Why don't you just get new mats once the OEM ones get trashed?

yeah, these mats are pretty much the worst ones I have seen in a car (compared to 97 Ford Escort, 2001 Maxima, 2001 Ford ZX2, not to mention Avalons, Benz, etc.).

I don't know...getting new OEM mats every year would be expensive and kinda dumb...I thought the all-weather ones would be better, but apparently not.

I checked it out and it looks like the heel guard is in addition to the pedals. I don't think you can get the heel guard alone.

I talked to Donny about it and understood you can order the heel gaurd separately. I may have misunderstood but I would check with him. Autovation makes great stuff and RPM is great to deal with.
