2007 Mazda6 GT Sportwagon 3.0L 6spd auto. Bought new 35 mos ago, have 33,000 km on car, always dealer serviced. Dealer replaced front axle boots this past winter as front axles became noisy during cold winter weather.

Lately, there seems to be a lag (delay) when accelerating normally from a stop. It feels as though there is brief moment after the gas pedal is stepped on until the front axles move the vehicle. Don't know whether this is related to new boots or is something else.

Anyone experienced this situation or any ideas as to what this could be?

Thanks.

You could start by cleaning out the throttle body by taking it out and cleaning it with some cleaner, might have carbon buildup in there.

Spoke to dealer service advisor who suggested this could be a software problem. Doubt that there's any carbon buildup as I regularly shift manually and keep up the revs to avoid any buidlups. Will post dealer findings/solutions shortly.

Thanks.
