My business partner is getting a new 2010 '6'. I have a set of FD wheels...

Will there be any fit issues???--thinking of a 225/55-16 tire.

I am no expert on the wheel and tire. But i think 225/55/16 tire is a little bit too small from the 2010 6. The circumference is more than 2% smaller than 215/55/17 tires. The rule of thumb is less than 1% difference either way. My guess that it will fit and run... to me, 2% diff. in circumference isn't really huge, but I could be wrong.

You might want opinions from the experts...

225/55-16, as I recall, is excatly the same as a 205/60-16 which is the base tire--I am more concerned regarding the wheel...and not so much the tire.

The base OE wheel on 2010 and 2009 is a 16x6 steel wheel. Is the offset of the FD wheel, ET 50, going to work in conjunction with the 8" width?...or will it need a spacer to push it out? The Tirerack offers 8" wide wheels with offsets that are similar--or the same. I also know that people run these wheels on the 2003-2008 cars--but I believe a small spacer is required for the rear for some reason.

These are what thely look like...
