I'm looking into getting a set of 18x8 Konig Oversteers for my '17 and pairing with 225/50R18 tires. The car will be lowered about 1" on Tanabe springs.

Should I go for a 35 or 45 offset? I don't know to how to figure out what clearance I'd need or if it'd matter with this wheel size.

The stock offset for the 19inch rims is 45.

I’m running 19x8.5+54 wheels wrapped in 225/45/19 along with corksport springs/shocks.

I could have probably went with an offset if 35 but that would have been cutting it close! I can’t fit a finger between the tire and fender with ease.

With the Tanabe Springs you can do either the +35 or +45. The +35 will bring the outer edge out approx. - 0.20". Will only be slightly noticeable.

You'd be safe going as wide as a 245 tire also if you ever decide go wider than the 225

IF you use springs that lower the car more than the Tanabe's (corksport) I would stay with the +45 offset.

Bought some JDM Enkei Rivazza 17 7J ET38 rims for winter. Should be very light: at the moment the whell weight with Dunlop Direzza DZ101 215/45 R17 is 38,2 lbs. Since the Dunlops should weight 22 lbs, hopefully 16,2 lbs is the rim weight. Seems almost too good to be true, I will be weighing them anyhow again soon without tyres. Anything below 20 lbs would be more than OK, since the original 17s weigh approx. 25 lbs. Will be fitting 225/55 17 tyres to the rims.

ps. they are 5x114,3, oddly 5x100 is engraved on the rim. They came from a JDM Nissan S15.

edit: ET added

Hi, I have had a MS6 for ~8years and she is getting old so i just picked up a 2018 GS-L turbo in machine metalic.

I need to give the new car some character and I race my cars so i am looking for a more practical style.

I fit the 235/45-18 on 18x7.5 et42 i run on the MS6 just to see were i stood (they are to small and need to go back on the MS6)

I was thinking of running 2017 mustang gt performance wheels 19x9.5 et52.5 front and 19x9 et45 rear with 255/40-19 all around and add Tanabe springs.

Any advice?

Thanks,
John

Any rubbing? Do you have any photos from the front or the back? Just wondering how much the rims stick out, espcially since the tires are wider too.

no other photos atm.

no rubbing.

rears are fine, fronts are out a little bit but nothing some camber wouldn't fix but since its not rubbing i would do anything until i lower the car.

well I got the rims and tires mounted.
2018 Mustang Performance Pack 1 wheels
Front 19x9.5 et52.5 255/40-19
Rear 19x9 et45 with 5mm spacer 255/40-19

The only issue with the rims is that they are made for bigger brakes so the caliper bracket is really close the hub. A big brake kit or a little grinding might be needed as it is that close.

The good part is that 255 fit, and you can go full lock no rubbing.

The first gen in my mazdaspeed 6 that i just thought i would share since I mentioned it earlier.
