Hello,
The only thing holding me back on the 6 is wondering whether or not I can fit 3 seats in the back. Ill be using 1 booster, one front facing which issoon to be a booster and one new born rear facing. During my drive I had the ff and booster and anadult in the back. It was tight but it worked. Any body have any info on this?

Get out a tape measure and put your car seats jammed together and measure the widest point, then go back to the dealer and measure the real car at the critical location against the door. I find that the middle seat location is a little too narrow. My two car seats and wife would only fit at the same time with a shoehorn, wheras on my volvo there is enough room.

Good luck.
Thanks. We had 2 seats and an adult in but that was a tight fit, but the more common situation would be the 3 seats.
I haven't tried it - no more car seats for us - but here's one thing to think about: it's enough of a pain to load a kid into the car seat in the middle position. It's even more of a pain when the roofline is cut low. My ten-year-old hit her head when getting into the 6 for the first time. Granted, she's used to jumping into an Outback, but I'm not sure I'd want to deal with that on a daily basis if this is your main car to carry the three kids.

Belt-positioning boosters aren't that big, so I'm betting you'd find two of them plus a rear facing seat will fit. Another issue is that the buckles are kind of recessed into the seat and if a car seat is sitting in the middle, I wonder how easy it would be to dig out the buckles for the older kids. The same ten-year-old complains about having to dig out the buckle.

The 3 seats wouldnt be all the time. In November it will be 1 full time but I have a 4yo and 3yo nephews that I have quite often and wanted to make sure everyone fits.

My wife and I were able to put 3 front facing car seats in the back. It was tight, but it worked. In fact, the rear door push the seat in when we closed the door. I will really depend on how you place the seats in there. If you put the biggest in the middle, then the other 2 will probably lift the middle seat. Rear car seats seem to be a bit wider though.

I think the biggest question would be how would the booster seat fit since booster seats usually use the car seat belt to buckle the child instead of built in belts like the front and rear facing. I think you would first think to put the true car seats on the outside to use the anchors, but the booster might have to be on the outside to truly work.

For reference, we had 2 Graco Argos 80 Elite 3-in-1 and had 1 Evenflo Symphony DLX All in one

Once again, it was a tight fit as in the door pushed them in, but it worked. Had to do a 600 mile round trip. I think it took me 30 or so minutes to put them in correctly.
