I just bought a 2011 mazda 6 and I've read all of the crazy comments but I need serious advice. Saw the pic of the 6 with 20"s and it looks nice but I want 22"s and can I go 8.5" or 9" width? I don"t do a lot of driving. But I looked at the "Wheels Next" site and they list the 22x9"s as fitting the Mazda 6. I also need to know if I buy "high offset" or "low offset" wheels just to be sure when I go get them I can ask even though i'm sure they will tell me which one it will be. But what are the TRUE dangers of getting a rim that size if I have the correct tire size? Only serious replies please. Thanks.

Good chance your car will be on one of the ricer of the day threads being made fun of. I wouldn't do it.
For real. +1. 22" rims really should be on large vehicles only. Good looks are closely tied with good proportions.

19's are the max for the 1st-gen cars. For 2nd-gens (which is what the OP's vehicle is), 20's are as high as I'd go.
