I have a few questions about the transmission in the 2009 6i I'm hoping someone can help with.

Is it a Fs5a-El transmission?

How many quarts can I expect to drain when doing a drain and fill?

Does the drain plug have a crush washer that needs to be replaced when doing a drain and fill?

Has anyone tried Castrol import multi-vehicle automatic fluid to compare to the mazda M-V type 5 fluid? It looks significantly cheaper - about 1/3rd of the price. As a back-up, Redline D4 should work, correct? The redline looks like it's still cheaper, but not by much.

Anything else I should think about?

I need some help with this too because I don't know where the drain plug is and I need to change my AT fluid ASAP. I have the same car as you do.

I'm sure I could figure it out if I got it up on jacks and removed all the bottom panels... but I don't have jacks and knowing if I could change without changing the panels might mean the difference between me doing it and taking it somewhere.

post if you find a nice diagram or video!
