Hey guys, new to the forums.
I've recently purchased a 2005 m6.

Only issue I've found is the idle.
When cold, runs fine at 1k rpm and slowly settles.
When up to temp, idle runs down to about 600-650 and causes a vibration.

I've replaced intake gaskets, plugs, maf, valve cover gaskets with plug gaskets.

Cleaned out the egr, everything runs sweet except for idle.

Since cleaning the egr, just yesterday, I've unplugged the egr in hope that it would do something. But no codes over 20km drive, and idle is no better.

I'm out of ideas for things to check or replace.

I would do a egr delete but I dont have ATR to remap egr codes.

Thanks.

Hey there, welcome to the forum. The first place I go when this happens is checking for vacuum leaks. The usual culprit on these beasts is the accordion intake tube. Stretch it to see between the pleats. After that I usually go to the PCV and then the spark plugs.

Cool, fantastic. Thanks for your reply, will let you know with an update.

Have had a look with a basic scan tool also, throttle only opens to 88%
Cold idle is 14% and warm idle is 10.6%
Are these correct?

Idle speed when warm was 650, a tad lower than what it should be

Vacuum leaks led to no success..

I've run it down to a leak of oil on the spark plug threads.
If I give them a clean, or even brand new ones, after a good 20km or so. The issue comes back.

I have done the valve cover seals and plug seals. But hasn't fixed the issue.
Compression test was all good at 205 across the board.
