I recently replaced the alternator on my wifes mazda 6 and now i have no spark. It turns over fine and everything works as it should but i get no ignition. The only idea i have is maybe i damaged the crankshaft position sensor during removal but I'm not sure that this would even cause the problem. If anyone has any ideas that would be awesome.

Did you check the ignition coil yet?

I have not checked the coil directly. I pulled a plug out and checked for spark but nothing. I checked all fuses one by one and that is as far as I have gotten.

Update please! What was the problem?

I had Pinched one of the crank position sensor wires between the alternator and engine. Simple splice repair and have had no problems since.
